I made this topic because most people found difficulty while upgrading to windows 10. This topic Provides all the problems that most of the people face while upgrading to windows 10. Here is a list of the problems along with their solutions .......
Q1: I REGISTERED FOR THE WINDOWS 10 ON GET WINDOWS 10 APP BUT THE UPDATE IS STILL NOT ARRIVED?
ANSWER: This is not a problem basically. It all depends on Microsoft to send the update to you. But if you still want to update right now, here are some simple steps to FORCE start windows 10 upgrade.....:
STEP 1: First of all, go to "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" and delete all files in that location.
STEP 2: From there on, tap the Windows key, type Windows Update, and click it to open it. Hit the Windows key again to bring up the command prompt and type "cmd." Instead of hitting Enter, however, right click and select "Run as Administrator." Next up, type "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" and again refrain from hitting enter. This command will make Windows Update check for updates.
This makes windows update to FORCE download windows 10.
Q2: I DOWNLOADED WINDOWS 10 BUT THE INSTALLATION SEEMS TO GET STOPPED ON "PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION" AT 1/4 OF ITS LENGTH?
ANSWER: If you face this problem then there is no need to worry. Just leave your PC without making and changes. Windows 7 takes more time to prepare windows for installation so their is no problem. I personally face this problem but by doing this windows 10 upgrade starts after some time (probably between 20 to 40 minutes).
Q3: WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION HAS STARTED BUT IT DISPLAYS AN ERROR WHEN THE UPGRADE WAS 40% INSTALLED (in doing installation of drivers) AND IT SAYS TO CLICK OK TO RESTART THE UPDATE BUT ONCE CLICKED IT RESTORES BACK TO WINDOWS 7/8/8.1?
ANSWER: This is probably due to incomplete or corrupted download, may be if you had cancelled the download when it is still under process. One solution is to restart the download BUT BEFORE THAT TRY THIS:....
Open installed programs and remove tick from .NET 3.5 and click OK. Then start the upgrade process, this makes the upgrade to go smoothly..
Q4: WINDOWS 7/8/8.1 IS UPGRADED TO WINDOWS 10 BUT THE FILE EXPLORER IS CRASHING WHEN CLICKING ON DRIVES OR ANY FOLDER INSIDE THE EXPLORER?
ANSWER: If you face this problem then no need to worry just follow these simple steps:
Open file explorer by any means and click on VIEW TAB->Option->Change Folder And Search Option. In this, under Privacy, Clear File Explorer History and then click on Restore defaults. Then click on apply button. Once you do this close all windows, and then wait for 1-2 minutes and then reopen file explorer, your problem will be solved!!!
Q5: I HAVE UPGRADED TO WINDOWS 10 BUT I SEE A BLACK SCREEN WITHOUT LOGGING IN?
ANSWER: This is due a basic problem that most people face. To solve this follow these steps:
Press Spacebar and hit ENTER. If screen still does not appear then wait for 5 seconds and press Ctrl and enter your password (yes you are not apple to see anything on the screen but do these) and Hit ENTER. Even if your problem is not solved then comment below....
